CLAIRE HUMPHREYS
From her studies in Sheffield, Claire developed a love for heritage landscapes and post industrial spaces, as well as a passion for environmental architecture. After qualifying as an Architect in 1999, she even undertook (for fun) a MSc in Advanced Environmental Theory and Energy in Architecture. She has practiced architecture in Manchester and London before moving to Bristol in 2007. In 2019 Claire co-founded Shu Architects with her long term colleague, Geoff.
Since living in Bristol, Claire has continued her passion for improving and repurposing heritage architecure and in 2019, became a Conservation Architect on the RIBA Conservation Register. Over her career, she has developed a specialism in heritage, residential, offices and education. Claire always loves a challenge, especially when it involved improving an existing building.
When not in the office, you might Claire getting involved with various Bristol planning groups, enjoying a walk with friends and family, preferably with a pub at the end, doing puzzles or even on camp with her Cub Scouts.
